We exclusively press 180g records. All black vinyl is made using eco-friendly Bio-Vinyl, chosen for its superior sound, durability, and sustainability. For colour options, we use high-quality virgin PVC, with exact colours confirmed before proceeding.

Before production, plants make 5–10 test pressings to check sound, sequencing, and labeling. First pulls from a stamper can be noisier and are usually recycled. Every Wrecking Crew project includes five free test pressings (more available) plus clear guidance on listening and approval so artists know what to expect.

Every record is pressed in-house on our German-built NewBilt machines—the only ones of their kind in Canada—by skilled operators. This ensures audiophile quality and unmatched customization that larger plants and brokers can’t offer.

Is your Music Mastered for Vinyl?

Why it matters Vinyl has unique physical and technical limitations that differ from digital formats. A proper vinyl master ensures your music translates well to the format—preserving dynamics, avoiding distortion, and preventing skips or tracking issues. If your tracks are mastered only for digital, they may not sound their best—or may even be uncuttable—on vinyl.

Do you need lacquers cut? - 12 inch

Why We Don’t Offer DMM Direct Metal Mastering (DMM), in our view, doesn’t deliver the same warmth, depth, and character that traditional lacquer cutting brings to vinyl. Some plants now offer only DMM—perhaps in a drive to reduce costs—but in our opinion, it’s not worth the sacrifice in sound quality. Shortcuts aren’t our style. At Wrecking Crew Studios, we cut exclusively to lacquer because your music deserves to sound its absolute best.
