Wrecking Crew Studios had everything we needed—from recording to shooting our photos and video, it all came together in one incredible space. The vibe was inspiring and relaxed, and we’re looking forward to having our Vinyl pressed here as soon as it’s ready to cut! It’s awesome to have it all under one roof.

Build Your Vinyl
At Wrecking Crew Studios, we’re musicians too—so we know how much your record matters. Every copy is pressed in-house using our own equipment, giving us full control over sound quality, turnaround, and detail. Our Record Designer makes it easy to build and price your project with clarity and confidence. We specialize in small-batch, high-quality vinyl—handled by real people, not mass-produced by machines. The result? Records that sound exactly the way you intended—crafted with care, and pressed with purpose.

ABOUT US
Wrecking Crew Studios is an independently owned business built on a lifelong passion for music and a commitment to doing things right. Founder Dave Curtis spent nearly 40 years in the aerospace industry—including as CEO of a major Canadian aircraft manufacturing company—before turning his professional focus to the music world. A life-long musician and former board member of Canada’s Vista Radio, Dave built the original studio near Victoria International Airport in 2016. In 2024, Wrecking Crew Studios, Inc. was officially incorporated with an expanded focus: to bring world-class vinyl record pressing to Western Canada.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are you called Wrecking Crew Studios?
Wrecking Crew Studios is named in tribute to the legendary session musicians known as The Wrecking Crew, who helped shape countless iconic records from behind the scenes. Like them, we focus on craft over credit—quietly delivering high-quality vinyl that lets the music speak for itself.
How is Wrecking Crew Studios addressing sustainability in vinyl record production?
While vinyl can’t be a zero-impact medium, we believe in practical, transparent steps toward sustainability. Our records are made to last—durable, collectible, and far from disposable. For all black vinyl we only use Bio-Vinyl, made from renewable sources, and FSC-certified packaging, with ongoing trials of plant-based shrink wrap. On-site production helps us monitor and reduce waste, with plans to recycle scrap vinyl and repurpose surplus materials. Powered by BC’s renewable hydroelectric grid and efficient systems for cooling and steam, our studio is built with long-term environmental responsibility in mind.
What makes you different from other vinyl pressing shops?
What sets Wrecking Crew Studios apart is our musician’s mindset and hands-on approach. We run the same German-built NewBilt presses used at Jack White’s Third Man Pressing in Detroit—and we’re the only plant in Canada operating these machines. Known for their precision and flexibility, NewBilts allow a high degree of customization, giving artists more creative options for their vinyl. Every record is handled by experienced operators with care and precision. We specialize in small-batch, high-quality production with a focus on sound fidelity, customization, and attention to detail—so the final product reflects the craft behind the music.
Do all vinyl record pressing services actually press records themselves?
No. Many companies offering vinyl record pressing are brokers—they outsource production to third-party plants and don’t operate any pressing equipment themselves. At Wrecking Crew Studios, we press every record on site using our own machines. This gives us full control over quality, turnaround times, and direct communication throughout your project.
